Truong Phat Loc Shipping Trading Joint Stock Company (TPL Shipping JSC) is an international shipping company was established on September 2009, Head Offices in 39 Nguyen Thi Dieu Street, Ward 3, District 5 , Ho Chi Minh City. At the time of its establishment, TPL Shipping JSC managed only one oil/chemical tanker named DONG A STAR with deadweight of 8,386 tons carried clean petroleum products operating in inland areas of Vietnam and Southeast Asia.
After over a year of operation, the Board found that efficient transport of oil products in Southeast Asia do not meet expectations due to unfair competition. And vessel size is not suitable for cargo offers in the market. The Company decided to sell the vessel DONG A STAR to switch to a new dedicated fleet of chemicals tankers have large capacity, stainless steel cargo tanks transported hundreds of different chemicals. MT Everrich 1, deadweight 15,353 tons built in Japan was purchased and officially handed over to the Company in September 2011. The trading area of the Company’s fleet expanded to Japan, South Korea, China, Taiwan, India and the Middle East. At this time the company also moved its headquarters to the address 357-359 An Duong Vuong Street, Ward 3, District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
By mid-2013 the Company decided to buy 2 chemical tankers, Everrich 2 with deadweight 14,893 tons and Everrich 3 with deadweight 19,999 tons built in Japan with Stainless steel cargo tanks to increase the transport capacity of the Company’s fleet. These will expand to carry many kinds of chemical substances have particularly high freight rates and lead to better effective operation way.
In early 2014, the Company moved again to The EverRich 2 building in 422, Dao Tri, Phu Thuan Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City and recruited a large number of professionals with experience in marine safety, technics and human resources … to expand business operations. The Company continues to expand its market to the field of LNG transportation by purchasing LPG Everrich 6 from Norgas fleet marked a promising new transformation and challenges of the Company. On Jun 2014 the Company continued to buy VLGC Everrich 8 ships with deadweight 49,701 tons and capacity 84,000 cubic meters to officially join the international LPG shipping market. And MT Everrich 5 with deadweight 19,996 tons and MT Everrich 7 with deadweight 22,779 tons were purchased from European owners on July 2014 for increasing the Company tonnage in chemical transportation.
With sustained investment plans from the Board of Directors, TPL Shipping confidently participate in the transport market of petroleum products, chemicals and liquefied petroleum gas, and directly compete with the international shipping Companies in the region.
